Oggi andremo per\u00f2 ad analizzare uno degli aspetti pi\u00f9 affascinanti: il <strong>sistema di Gargantua<\/strong>. Bentornati alla <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fisica dei Film<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Il team di produzione ha lavorato con il premio Nobel <strong>Kip Thorne<\/strong> per simulare Gargantua usando equazioni reali della fisica. Il risultato: uno dei migliori modelli di buco nero, talmente accurato che ha contribuito a pubblicazioni scientifiche. Confrontandolo con la prima immagine reale mai scattata a un buco nero nel 2019, la somiglianza \u00e8 incredibile. Qui la fisica mostra tutto il suo potere. Non solo descrive l\u2019universo, ma riesce a prevederne il funzionamento. La fisica di <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interstellar<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> non si pu\u00f2 mettere in discussione perch\u00e9 \u00e8\u00a0 reale. I nostri protagonisti vengono mandati a esplorarli e a valutarne l\u2019 abitabilit\u00e0.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Siamo abituati a pensare i pianeti attorno alle stelle, ma non \u00e8 una regola universale. Infatti sono stati osservati pianeti orbitare in prossimit\u00e0 di nane bianche e stelle di neutroni: oggetti estremamente densi, residui di stelle morte. Anche i buchi neri sono un risultato finale dell\u2019evoluzione stellare, quindi \u00e8 plausibile che pianeti sopravvissuti all\u2019esplosione di supernova possano continuare a orbitare attorno a ci\u00f2 che resta della loro stella. Nel caso di Gargantua questo non \u00e8 possibile: trattandosi di un buco nero supermassiccio, non si \u00e8 formato dal collasso di una singola stella. Le ipotesi pi\u00f9 plausibili sono due: i pianeti sono stati catturati gravitazionalmente, magari strappati a una stella passata troppo vicino, oppure si sono formati da materiale orbitante attorno al buco nero. Ma com\u2019\u00e8 possibile, se orbitano intorno a un oggetto che non emette luce? La risposta \u00e8 il <strong>disco di accrescimento<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gargantua \u00e8 circondato da gas e polveri che, a causa dell\u2019enorme gravit\u00e0, si comprimono e si riscaldano fino a diventare incandescenti. La luce e il calore ricevuti dai pianeti derivano proprio da questo processo: in pratica, dal \u201cnutrimento\u201d del buco nero. I dischi di accrescimento possono diventare persino pi\u00f9 luminosi di una stella. Ed \u00e8 qui che emergono i primi problemi. I pianeti dovrebbero trovarsi a una distanza molto precisa: abbastanza vicini da ricevere energia, ma non cos\u00ec tanto da essere distrutti da radiazioni o forze gravitazionali estreme. Questa situazione ricorda la cosiddetta zona abitabile (o \u201czona Riccioli d\u2019Oro\u201d), cio\u00e8 la regione di un sistema stellare in cui un pianeta pu\u00f2 avere acqua liquida. Un buco nero potrebbe avere una zona simile, ma sarebbe estremamente ristretta e delicata.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Qui il film \u00e8 decisamente ottimista rispetto alla realt\u00e0. I dischi di accrescimento sono infatti instabili e la quantit\u00e0 di energia emessa pu\u00f2 variare nel tempo. Sono temporanei perch\u00e9 destinati a esaurirsi man mano che il materiale viene inghiottito. Infine sono estremamente energetici, con emissioni di radiazioni pericolose (raggi X e gamma) che possono \u201cfriggere\u201d un pianeta. Inoltre, un corpo celeste in orbita nei pressi di questo tipo di buco nero deve affrontare un ambiente gravitazionale complesso: non solo l\u2019attrazione del buco nero, ma anche quella di eventuali stelle vicine. I buchi neri supermassicci, come Gargantua, si trovano tipicamente al centro delle galassie, regioni affollate e dinamicamente turbolente. \u00c8 stato osservato, ad esempio attorno a Sagittarius A* (il buco nero supermassiccio della Via Lattea), che numerose stelle gli orbitano molto vicino, e queste potrebbero facilmente destabilizzare le orbite di eventuali pianeti.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tutti questi fattori rendono poco plausibile l\u2019esistenza di pianeti abitabili come quelli mostrati nel film. Non a caso, nel finale, l\u2019umanit\u00e0 non si stabilisce su questi mondi, ma su una stazione spaziale. Quindi, semmai l\u2019umanit\u00e0 dovesse aver bisogno di una nuova casa, le condizioni sarebbero chiare: cercarla in una zona con la giusta quantit\u00e0 di luce, intorno a un astro abbastanza stabile (le stelle vanno pi\u00f9 che bene) e in un quartiere tranquillo. Il centro \u00e8 troppo confusionario.
